Medgyessy Ferenc 1930-ban alkotta őket, később ugyanezek a szobrokat, a párizsi világkiállításon a zsűri Grand Prix-vel díjazta. A négy szobor : Régészet, Tudomány, Művészet és Néprajz című alkotások. A múzeum előtti természetes mélyedésből (Volt Pap tava helyéről) lépcső vezet fel az épület előtti, magasított térre. A lépcsősor mindkét oldalán kétszakaszos medence áll. A kagylókkal díszített (az épület félkör alakú középrészének ívét ismétlő) medence kék-két szélén műkő talapzaton helyezkedik el a négy, életnagyságnál nagyobb aktszobor.' Két női, és két férfi akt. In front of the Déri Museum are these 4 allegorical statues, above the bubbling. They were created by Ferenc Medgyessy in 1930, and later the same sculptures were awarded the Grand Prix by the jury at the Paris World's Fair. The four sculptures are Archeology, Science, Art and Ethnography. From the natural depression in front of the museum (from the site of the former Pap Lake), a staircase leads up to the elevated square in front of the building. There is a two-stage pool on either side of the staircase. On the blue-two edges of the pool, which is decorated with shells (repeating the arc of the semicircular center of the building), are four statues larger than life-size on an artificial pedestal.
