Actually somewhere between 4-5 stars. I rather rated for 5 thanks to their intention to not to develop the place to a segregated facility forvthe current elite, nevertheless provide the possible best quality in the targeted segment. The tapas was excellent so as the home made pasta with fresh forest mushrooms. (To my taste perhabs a bit salty.) What is a pity that they do not offer any local wine in their selection, but at least correct ones were served. Very nice staff. The interrior design was caothic: little bit of "charda", little bit of ruin pub. But it has not disturbed that much.

I am very happy that I found this place. First of all I would like to thank you for the whole staff! They are amazing ppl! :) I felt home during our stay! :) The room was clean and well equipped. We had also AC but we didn't use it . The food was delicious. I really liked the breakfast, the desserts and the homemade ice tea. They use a lot of homemade ingredients for preparing food. The Fészek Hotel and Restaurant is very close to the beach's entrance, parking is available at the beach' s parking lot. From Zánka, you can reach many attractions around the Balaton e.g. Tihany, Füred, a lot of wineyards, biking road, Hegyestű, Salföld, Szigliget, Folly Arboretum, Bob etc.

Location is great, quiet and peaceful, far enough from the main road but easy to find, very close to the shore. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the value of the room we had was great, very cosy and modern. We stayed here during a cycling trip around the Balaton and it is right on the route, didn't have to take a detour. The breakfast is included in the price and even though nothing special is offered everything is fresh and really good quality, we liked the breakfast a lot. It gave us the boost we needed for the next day. We'll definitely will come back again

Customer Service was pretty bad. We didnt received the room we reserved online, deluxe lake view ended up in a parking lot view and a 12sm room. Staff only referred to booking.com that they made the issue and we should complain to them, without offering any support or empathy. Room was okay, food as well but bit pricy. In the restaurant if you didnt call for a waiter, you would wait pretty long till they approach your table (even though it was not crowded)

The staff is really nice. There is a well designed inrterior space, especially at the restourant. It is also really good that it is right next to the Lake.

We just stopped by for a drink and for a short rest while riding around the lake. The drink was ridiculously overpriced, a real rip off. It’s a pity because otherwise the place is nice and the staff is friendly.

We booked our accommodation to the Deluxe 'lake panorama' room with 20 square meter (which is enough even for 5 people). The room size was important to us because of our cat and we wanted a nice view to the lake. Thats why we choose this hotel for our holiday. Finally when we arrived they put us in a ground floor Deluxe room which was 12 square meter (maximum for 2 people) and you hardly could see the lake, mainly you had your view for the parking lot (picture attached). When we told the staff about our problem they said apology and explained us that booking.com was selling their rooms wrongly, after they promised a compensation package for the inconveniences. Due to the 20. August weekend every hotel was overbooked so we decided to stay in lack of other possibilities. Every day we have asked the reception about an update regarding the compensation and they said later they can tell us more. Finally, it was our leaving day when before breakfast we asked again update and there was still nothing, we had to strongly ask the reception boy to call someone to inform us about the situation before checking out. And at the end they have told us, this wasn't their fault and the hotel decided we are not getting compensation from them, and if we want to complaint to someone it should be booking.com who made the mistake!!?? I have never met with so under level service, you can't even book a room via their homepage, only via booking.com and the hotel is not taking responsibilities about its own service. More disturbing they push their advertising problem to the customer and tell us to solve it. This is completely unacceptable and disgusting, especially after promising a compensation because of the inconveniences. We choose this accommodation based on the pictures shown on booking.com, a 20square meter sized room with lake view. What we got was a much smaller room with view to the parking lot.

We booked a ground floor room, the room was very small, the bathroom was nice, but the windows were looking directly to the restaurant, the first table was around 2m away from the window. In the evening if we opened the window we could hear only the noice of the other rooms a/c exterior unit, which was directly next to our window. Not a bad price value, but I would not recommend this place (at least the Chardonnay room).
