Nice hotel in the center of Budapest, comfy rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, and good location. For that price was very happy. Recommend.

Adding an edit to my previous review - the hotel will also go back on their word about giving you a refund. When I checked out due to the issues noted below, the front desk manager told me they would charge me for one night and that I could ask Expedia for a refund on the remainder of my stay. Now, Expedia is telling me that the hotel is saying there were no issues so there is no valid reason to provide me with a refund. I've just lost hundreds of dollars on probably the most terrible hotel I've ever stepped into. Stay as far away as possible from this hotel. --- This hotel is probably one of the worst I've ever seen. I was at the hotel for about 2 hours before leaving. The rooms are significantly smaller than what is shown in the photos. The bathrooms are essentially shower stalls with a toilet and sink built in - there are no shower curtains so the entire bathroom is soaking wet after a shower. The power outlets in the room are also limited and hard to reach. Finally, the walls are PAPER THIN, and you can hear everything going on in the nearby rooms. Upon receiving my complaints, all the front desk manager had to say was that "...it's a boat hotel." I checked out immediately and found a much nicer hotel in the Budapest city centre for a lower price. I'm not sure how this hotel has such a high review on Google, as it is far from accurate.

Lovely breakfast, staff team generally helpful. Slightly tired room. Quirky experience. Great view of Budapest but sadly our room just looked at the road by the riverbank. The hotel.sent a text in advance that our view was the river but on arrival declared that was a mistake.

As everyone says, a fabulous location/views, excellent staff and good breakfast. Thanks in particular to the best reception team we've ever come across on five continents! Having cycled from the source of the river, David and Matti located and delivered my trusty bike to a refugee charity.

The good: location. Unbelievable! The bad: smell is like park toilets, and this smell is everywhere: room, lobby, hall, even outside. I was staying 3 nights after that for a while I can't smell right things....was for me a torture. Rooms are in a very bad shape, floors are in few degrees angle. So blood will flood your brain if you choose the bad bed position. The noise from outside cannot be avoid with windows locked because the window is a joke. AC settings is only on hot! So in May I was going crazy in the night. This place is amazing only if you are spending 1 night and you are coming to sleep after you got very bed drunk. In the morning woke up and ?‍♂️!

Lovely hotel we stayed the river side lovely clean room unfortunately didn't have a way of making hot drinks so we brought our own kettle sat most nights watching the river it was also my husbands birthday and the staff had left a bottle of wine and a card what more can you ask for to sit out on the boat with a lovely glass of wine the only problem is I think there should of been a bar

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. TV, fridge and hairdryer provided. Being on the river with a view of the parliament building was good. However... It is breakfast only (we knew that) served between 7.30 and 11.00. Out of these hours the restaurant is closed and there is no where in the hotel to even get a coffee. No kettle in the room. The air-conditioning was "hot" only as the staff told "it is still cold at night so we have not yet switched the air-conditioning over to cold". For us we found the room very warm even at night so we had to have the windows open, which led to the next problem. The hotel is very close to a busy major bridge with trams crossing it regularly, very noisy when you are trying to sleep with the windows open because the room was so hot. Oh yes, bathroom is a wet room, the hotel listed to port so the water from the shower could not all drain away leaving half of the bathroom floor as a puddle until housekeeping came the following morning and cleared it up.
