★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm well known in Budapests selections of restaurants. Often I go to my regular places, but I also like to try new ones. I am rarely very positive suprised by new ones. But this time I was indeed. Very nice, friendly polite service and the most important excelent food. Starter and main course was a big positive excperience. Too late for an desert unfortunately.
I guess i am a bit "old" and grumpy, but became so happy when I experience such food and service in a new place. This is extraorinary in Budapest. The prices was resonanble for the quality and the wine was the right one for the occasion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in the neighbourhood and wanted to try this place and when all our favourites were fully booked, I thought we could give it a try. It was empty. Yeah the prices are high for BP, but similar prices in the 5th are often (not always) backed up with quality. My pike was quite good, but the portion was really small. (They're kind of geared for four course meals which explains the portions, but if you're trying a place, do you want to drop 10e Ft?) My date's duck was really quite bad. I didn't believe her, but tried it (and I eat everything, especially duck), and I wouldn't have been able to finish her small portion. I politely said what we didn't like about it, they apologised, but didn't offer anything else. We paid and left and chalked it up to experience.
If you're not in the neighbourhood often, there are so many good places to go, so I'd recommend sticking to the places that are busy.

Excellent service, delicious cocktails & entrees, very clean, super cute decor - especially if you love dogs. DJ in house (I came on Friday evening). One of the highlights of my trip to Budapest! You will love it.
