Cozy place with perfect fresh food, and very good grilled meat and vegetables. This is the first original trofea restaurant in the city, what is still the best from all of the trofeas.

Good place. Nice selection possibilities, all-you-can-eat, good atmosphere. Prices are not low, but still very affordable. Be careful to not overeating yourself.

Trófea Grill Etterem (Zugló): All You Can Eat Traditional Hungarian Buffet, Wine, and Show ... All For Just $20! While in Budapest on a recent trip we stumbled upon a great traditional Hungarian buffet that was recommended in a travel guide we had brought with us. For only $20 per person you can feast on an all you can eat buffet with local salads, soups, entrees, cooked-to-order steaks, starches, veggies, homemade breads, and desserts (including hand made ice cream). Also included is all of the local wine and water you desire as well as a spectacular, authentic gypsy floor show complete with instruments and exotic dancers. Zugló is the "original" of the three Trófea buffet location and just a short walk northwest of the large City Park and its picturesque Heroes' Square, thermal baths, and Vajdahunyad Castle, made famous as the spectacular backdrop for the recent hit TV series "Dracula" starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The restaurant sits on a corner, is large, and reminiscent of a Bavarian chalet right in the middle of Budapest with warm furnishings that are both functional and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient, and just a few spoke English. After all … YOU ARE IN BUDAPEST FOLKS! The food was wonderful with a vast array of appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts to suit anyone’s taste. An at just $20, Trófea is one of THE BEST VALUES we have experienced in our travels. There are better restaurants in Budapest, but none compare when it comes to great food at a reasonable price … booze included … and a traditional Hungarian show that you will remember for years to come! It was about $16USD for all you can eat and all the wine, beer, juice, and water you could drink (within a 3 hr period). The food was good, but not great. The highlight for me was the sour cherry soup. Delish! With so many different foods, having an English description underneath the Hungarian title would have helped immensely and would probably have decreased my food waste. There are so many tourists from other cultures that broadly-recognized English would be helpful to many. I personally do not feel it was worth the cost -but if you are a heavy drinker and big eater, it may be. It is great for trying a variety of Hungarian foods -I just wish I knew what I'd tried :/

Good atmosphere, nice service, food was good. Only problem was that they didn't have English signs, so as a foreigner I couldn't tell what the dishes were.

Great place. You pay one price and can eat how much you want. They have really big choice of food, meat, salads, desserts. My love thing here is the real time grill - you take that you want to fri and chief will do it in that moment. The waiter always bring you the drink( unlimited juice, beer, wine). Recommend for group, they have many place, and for couples.

I was blown away by the Trofea experience 10 years ago. Still very good. A few vegetarian options. Don't hesitate to go there to try Hungarian food!

Greate place for take a lunch. Buffett from 14h-17h. 8800 HUF per person but you can eat soups, srarters, main dishes, venice, cakes and sweets, etc. Food is very well prepared and it is very delicious. Everything is good organised. Stuff are polite and fast. Recommand this restaurant.
