Cold, dark and scary. A place of great historical significance. To know that Vlad The Impaler was held captive in there is in itself spine chilling. Overall a scary but somehow amazing experience. Would definitely recommend to go. The dark room maze is quite a unique experience as well.

Very crazy experience. I am not a fan of the dark but it was surely worth to visit. It has a very unique atmosphere which I have never experienced before

It was wonderful walking through the caves, I couldn't help but be a little sad knowing that on world War the use this place as shelter. The Gestapo building is very close by.

I loved this place it was so fun getting lost in the tunnels, there are arrows marked on the walls and lighting to guide you so you don’t get genuinely lost! You can spend as long as you like in there it’s great value for the entry fee

Rip off. Nothing to see; literally. It is basically a dark cave, with canned music. A few bad reproductions of statutes of Hungarian historical figures not fit for display. These photos are everything you will see. Save your 3000 fornits.

I visited this labyrinth in 2012. We found the cavern door under Buda Castle, around the corner on the right hand side of the street, as you go downhill from where all the tourist busses park. It used to be owned by someone but rumor suggests it was taken over by the government. At the time I visited, it was not busy in any way. We wandered all over, seeing the wax figures (why are there wax figures?) and the monument to when Vlad Tepes (Dracula) was held in the cavern in 1476. There were portions being renovated that had inlaid floors but we couldnt get into those rooms as they were blocked by ropes. What I found fascinating was the information about limestone being mined in Hungary and all the gorgeous examples of it in that cave system. I'd say take a mask, though, because the black mold down there is real. Do not miss this. We paid 3000 HUF to get in (cash only) and wandered for a couple hours, including a video at the end (which was the beginning).

People 6ft (183 cm) and above should be cautious here, but don't want to miss out on this enigmatic journey through the dark labyrinth under the city streets. Be sure to bring good walking shoes as the stairs leading down to the labyrinth are narrow, and the ground at the bottom may be wet. For the price of 3000 HUF per person it was an okay way to pass the time, especially with a group rather than alone.

Oh my God!!! YOU HAVE TO VISIT THE LABYRINTH. However, if you are claustrophobic, it will be a huge challenge for you and may be you should avoid it. The place is huge and endless, we were walking for over an hour an half and we realized we didn't see half of it. The feeling is creepy but great at the same time, thinking that it's not a fake place but a real one. Most certainly , if there weren't arrows to show you the way, you would easily get lost. Don't fail to visit it. Ask for it, in case you can't find, because it's located on a small road. Also, the don't get cards, only cash. Oh! And have your mobiles ready. It's really dark and there are spots that you will need your flash light.
