Best Restaurant in Hungary

Service was absolutely impeccable, food was somewhere between a take on Hungarian staples (goose liver starter) and more international-level fare (perfectly cooked beef neck). Portions were on par with a nicer restaurant (you'll want a starter and a main) and the setting and, again, service, were unmatched. And all things considered, not expensive at all! If I had one complaint it would be (the Hungarian side of) the wine list was a bit short on nice, heavy reds. Gere Attilla is a safe and excellent choice, but there are so many lovely Hungarian reds I was surprised to see nothing from Szekszárd and only one Villány to pair with the goose and beef. But all things considered a minor complaint-otherwise everything was perfect!

Fancy but at the same time makes you relax with a good mood. Stuff is very nice and friendly, helpful and accurate. Service was excellent, giving attention to the smallest details. Food? Excellent. The right size portion, tasty and cooked properly, delicious and served in time. You would think a place like this would be extremely expensive, but you might be wrong. I totally recommend this place if you enjoy delicious food and a fancy but relaxing atmosphere. Go see for yourself. Enjoy.

At the beginning, all of the menu items sounded a bit basic but after tasting them, we were amazed. All of the dishes were engineered to perfection, with really balanced flavors and textures, each and every ingredient had its role to create a really delicious whole dish. The service was exceptional, our waiter was extremely helpful, knew every little detail of the menu, even told me basically the whole recipe for one of the dishes. He suggested great wines, one of our best wine pairings ever. The whole restaurant is really cosy and laid-back but you can feel the professionalism in every detail.
