Szeged gasztro kultúrájának vadonatúj ékköve, mely 2021 januárjában nyitotta meg kapuit. Nem titkolt célunk az volt, hogy Fricskát mutassunk a húsos ételeknek, ezért úgy döntöttünk étlapunk finomságait vegán verzióban is elkészítjük. Így került fel a Classic rakott krumpli, vagy épp a Fricska Gulyás is vegán verzióban. De karácsonykor vegan hallé és full vegán töltött káposztát is kipróbálhatnak vendégeink.

A reggeli időszakban széles repertoárban van jelen minden klasszikus és nemzetközi reggeli szintén akár vegán változatban (egyedül álló módon például vegán angol reggeli) vagy éppen egy frissen facsart narancslé.

Vegán ételeink mellett a húsos irányba is nyitottunk, hiszen minden társaságban előfordul olyan, aki épp az ellenkező étrendet követi. Így születtek meg a Fricska Bistro ajánlatai, melyek mind az a’la carte étlapon, mind pedig havi újdonságként megjelennek és azt kell mondanunk óriási sikerrel. Így fordulhat elő, hogy egy minden állati alapanyag mentes Pad Thai mellé a párotok mustáros bélszínlángost kér, konfitált fokhagymás parmezános burgonyapürével.

Az elkövető pedig, ha a Pokol Konyháját nem is, Budapesten megjárta már a Bestiát főzött együtt Pallag Dáviddal a Rutinban, de a Balaton felvidéki gasztronómiai területen is szerzett tapasztalatot, szóval volt kitől ellesnie a szakma csínját-bínyját. Nem kérdés, hogy ahol tart jelenleg a Fricska részben az ő szakmai tudásának az érdeme.

Believe it or not, we waited for our breakfast, which btw is made quite quickly as it consists of eggs and such, for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once our breakfast arrived it was cold. The waitress working there was really nice and it was obvious that she was annoyed as well so my guess is that there was something wrong in the kitchen. Too bad for a place with such good reviews to perform like this.

However the lady who served us wasn’t the best… after waiting for a while she came back to say several things we chose from the menu wasn’t available. It’s fine, but she could’ve told us earlier as it’s not easy to entertain a toddler and wait for an hour for our food. Also our food was served separately which was annoying because half of our group was waiting for us, being polite, staring at their already served food. At the end, while I was still eating the waitress came, collected the plates and asked how would we like to pay.. I was still eating and she was already back with the bill! I felt we need to hurry up!! So we packed the leftover American pancake and left. The food is amazing. The service is rubbish.

They have lots of vegan options for both entrées, main courses and desserts. The staff is really friendly and patient (we were there with two small children ;) ). Warmest recommendations to visit this place, when in Szeged!
