★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az épületet a Győri Ipartestület kezdeményezésére 1909-ben emelték Közös Gépműhely céljára. Helyi iparosok összefogásával, adományaival, munkájával, továbbá állami támogatással jött létre a műhely, amely homlokzatán kapott helyet a kereskedelmet és az ipart jelképező szoborpáros.
 The building was built in 1909 on the initiative of the Győr Industrial Association for the purpose of a Joint Machine Workshop. With the collaboration, donations and work of local craftsmen, as well as state support, the workshop was established, which housed a pair of sculptures symbolizing trade and industry on its facade.
