A posztamens bal oldalán Turáni Kovács Imre rohamozó huszárcsapatot ábrázoló bronz domborműve alatt a huszártisztek, a jobb oldalán a legénység hősi halottainak neve – összesen 434 – olvasható. 1943. május 9-én avatta fel Nagybaczoni Nagy Vilmos honvédelmi miniszter. Az eredeti szobor bronzozott alumíniumból készült, tönkrement, ezért 1994-ben újraöntötték. 2009-ben a tér rendezésekor az eredeti helyén hagyták, háttal a jogi egyetemnek. A szegediek előszeretettel „lófarának” nevezik a helyet.
In front of the Reök Palace, in the small square, the bronze horse statue - the work of István Gách - is in the III. Monument to the Honorary Hussar regiment. On the left side of the postman, under the bronze relief depicting the imminent hussar team, Imre Turán Kovács, the name of the hussars, on the right hand side, is the name of the heroic dead of the crew - a total of 434. On May 9, 1943, Vilmos Nagy, defense minister of Nagybaczoni opened it. The original sculpture was made of bronzed aluminum and was destroyed in 1994 and rebuilt. In 2009, when the space was settled, they were left in their original place, back to the legal university. The Szeged people prefer the place "ponytail".
