It was a very enjoyable, lighwheight hike yet insitefule, filled with well spoken historically background of the specific locations we visited, the city and Hungarian history in general and contemporary hungarian life. She sets a fast pace - but makes sure you're all ok - so you cover a lot of ground and see the city from both sides. Cycling along the Danube in the sunshine is quite magical.

Tour took approximately 4 hours from start to finished and walked us first through all the historical areas of the Buda side, taking the metro to get between long distances. Stopped to have strudel and a drink at nice cafe then continued on walking to the pest side where we climbed Castle Hill and ended our tour in the fisherman’s bastion. Every part of the tour was filled with extensive history and explanation of all that we were seeing. Tour guide was very nice and well spoken. I definitely would take a tour with them again.

Our guide was Hunor and he was articulate and shared just right amount of info... without being overwhelming. I really liked his tour! Tip1: if you have a risk of blood clots and plan to take their 2 or 3 hour tours, put on compression socks, and step off the segway frequently during stops to prevent leg pain. A pair of cushioned shoes is a must. Tip2: it gets rather cool at times when you build up speed. Dress warmer than for walking. Tip3: They have a used book store in the loft upstairs— great to kill time if you are a bit early. Tip4: Be prepared to be a spectacle for tourists— many people stare and even take pictures of you! Tip5: If you are squirmish about sharing a helmet that hundreds of tourists wear each week, consider bringing some sort of a liner (handkerchief, for instance). Not only was she friendly and easy to talk to, she had a phenomenal knowledge of Budapest and Hungarian history. We seemed to visit a large variety of important buildings and key sites, were advised on how the public transport works, and even had time for a decent coffee stop. If you read this, Petra, it was an pleasure to spend the time with you. I would highly recommend this company's walking tour if you are a first-time visitor to Budapest.
