★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great beach with long patch of grass along the shore. The lakebed is sandy without debris or aquatic plants under your feet. The depth of the water is optimal, like from 100 to 150 centimeters. There are several buffets along the beach with the typical beach menus. The beach is long enough (and it's far enough from the capital) to not get too crowded, not even in peak season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close to the railway station, large grass beach with steps, shower, fast food, ice cream, small shops. No dogs allowed and this is taken seriously. Nice swans and ducks. Due to poor water quality it was closed from the end of July. Blue algae.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only 1 (or 2) chairs to get into lake Velencei to. You have to wait 3mins to get into the water. The restroom is not free but it's clean and enough to the visitors. Buffets are on normal beach price, but the lines are never-ends...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location of the lake Velencei as the beach is free. You can have drinks, food and ice cream. It is pretty clean, despite of the amount of people. The parking opportunities are quite limited, so be prepared! Also, they charge you for toilet usage, which is ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The highlight of my daily walks. The lake is always different. I think this is the best free beach by the lake. The grassy areas and trees beat any artificial sand, especially in the summer heat.
