★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the biggest granite statue of hungary, depicting the benedictory christ stands on hilltop just outside the town of Tarcal, surrounded by newly planted gardens. the hilltop offers great views, and just behind it lays an outlying lake in a former stone quarry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The surroundings of the statue are very well kept. The way up is a bit steep, but there are plenty of benches to take a rest on and the view is certainly rewarding. You can see both the village and the lake behind the hill. It provides a peaceful atmosphere for an early morning walk. The statue itself is currently the Hungary's tallest statue of the Christ.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 8,5m tall statue of Jesus on a hill above Tarcal, blessing the Tokaj-Hegyalja vineyards. The statue is also expected to boost pilgrimage tourism in the area. Statue is very nice, area around is cared for and clean. 360 degrees view is amazing. Great for hiking. The path up very nice. Recommendations!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Christ the redeemer status in Hungary. You could see the whole view of Tokaj hill, the Bányato, some stone decorations. It is worth visiting and spending some quite time here.
