A törökök kiűzése után - rövid ideig - a székesegyház funkcióját is ellátta. Mára az egyetlen templomunk, amely részben (a gótikus szentélye) eredeti, középkori formájában megmaradt.
This small church - outside the medieval city walls - was the only one in Pécs in the Turkish era where Christian worship could be held. Every denomination used this. After the expulsion of the Turks, for a short time, it also served as a cathedral. Today, it is our only church that has survived in part (its Gothic sanctuary) in its original, medieval form.

Középkori falak, korábbi kármelita kolostor épületegyüttesébe illeszkedik, fallal körülvett kertje van, jelenleg teológiai kollégium működik a volt kolostorépületben. A török időkben, amikor ez volt az egyetlen engedélyezett keresztény templom, a "Pécsi disputa" helyszíne, ahol több felekezet prédikátorai vetélkedtek egymással szónoklásban, tették próbára meggyőzőerejüket.
Pécs' oldest, still functioning, Catholic church. Medieval walls fit into the building complex of a former Carmelite monastery with a walled garden, currently a theological college in the former monastery building. In the Turkish times, when it was the only Christian church allowed, the "Pécs Dispute" venue, where preachers from several denominations competed with each other in their rhetoric, tested their conviction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hódoltság korábaan már állt és működött, őriz is középkori jelleget. Érdekessége, hogy jeles református hitvita színhelye volt 1588-ban - miközben Pécs tőrők megszállás alatt állt!
The occupation used to stand and function, it also preserves its medieval character. It is interesting that it was the scene of a prominent Reformed religious debate in 1588 - while Pécs was under occupation by daggers!
