It's always good to come back here! The village is wonderful, it is worth a walk around the chapel. Large parking lot, there is also a normal toilet as we come out of the village towards the chapel.

A magical place within a 10 minute walk of the village that we didn’t even want to see. But how good it was that we decided to leave. A storybook v book illustration could also be the place with the tiny chapel and the small lake in front of it. I’m not really overly spiritual minded but there is some radiance to the whole area. Obviously, the idyllic environment also contributes to this. The natural, uninhabited forest, the beautiful panorama, the perfectly tidy and clean environment and the great past of the place but let's not forget the small lake, which has a lot of trout, also a few huge specimens. I was completely enchanted by the whole thing. The man calms down, he calms down and I, atheist too, came under some intangible influence, I felt like I was part of something big. It was a beautiful, unique experience. The springs are also crystal clear and ice cold. There are also benches around the lake, and several hiking trails start from here. Next to the chapel, up the hill, are the stations. We didn’t look at these just the first one I saw. Parking is also available for those arriving by car. A place recommended for everyone with a good heart.

Bishop St. Gellert was once a favorite residence! What can I say -No surprise me! A magical environment that can be reached with a short walk from Bakonybél! The pictures were taken in the summer, everything was still fresh then, but still magical!

We have been coming here for twenty years, sometimes several times a year, because we are affected by hiking trails starting from Bakonybél to the south, there is also a geo-box on the other side of Calvary, and we watch the village build and beautify the surroundings of the Holy Well. We still remember the dilapidated chapel, the forced parking lot, the gidres-pit road leading to it, the pond half-overgrown with aquatic plants, the dried-up spring pool. Today, it is very nicely built, without losing its charm: a relatively high-quality stony road, a designated car park, a paved walkway around the lake, information boards, and the impression that the area is regularly cared for. A real attraction, a resting place, a religious-historical monument (and a refreshing exception among the "monuments" that have hidden the country from countless EU funds in recent years, oversized, ostentatious, aged into a mass of concrete, often without any past or forced). We can learn its history from previous opinions. The creator of the Gellért statue is the sculptor István Opra-Szabó from Zirc, who is unfortunately not with us for more than two decades.
