It is a curious workshop, a curiosity of its kind. Nice and interactive guided tour, beautiful clothes, tablecloths, needle cushions.

I am delighted to have been able to visit this traditional monument factory, which is still in operation. We had a very enthusiastic and kind presentation by folk artist Zoltán Bakos, who continues to carry on the science of blue painting. Thanks!

Kifejezetten tetszik, hogy ma is készítenek itt kékfestői termékeket és úgy beszélnek róla, ahogy ők maguk szinezik a textileket, nem pedig úgy, hogy x éve így csinálták és ma már nem foglalkozik vele senki.
Professional guided tour, friendly tone :)
I especially like that they still make blue paint products here today and talk about it the way they color the textiles themselves, not the way they did it x years ago and no one deals with it anymore.

Szomorúan hallottam a kedves és szakszerű tárlatvezetőnktől, hogy míg száz évvel ezelőtt több száz kékfestő működött, ma ez a szám 10 alatt van. Örülök, hogy betekinthettem e csodás értékőrző műhely folyamataiba, láthattam, hogyan és mivel készülnek szebbnél szebb kékfestő anyagok. Köszönet érte, remélem még sokáig vinni tudják ezt az tudást, hagyományainknak ezt az értékes részét.
Without industry, the half-armed giant of the nation- I read this sentence in one of the exhibited master's books. I have heard sadly from our kind and professional exhibition guide that while there were hundreds of blue painters working a hundred years ago, today that number is below 10. I am glad to have been able to see the processes of this wonderful value preservation workshop, to see how and why more beautiful blue painting materials are made. Thanks for that, I hope they can carry this knowledge, this valuable part of our traditions, for a long time to come.
