A 37 m hosszú, 19 m széles templom 1031-32-ben épült a Bazalt Bánya RT-től ingyenesen kapott bazalt tömbökből. A szentélyben lévő oltár vörös márványból és fehér műkőből készült. Az oltártól jobbra Szent Imre szobra áll. Az árkádok alatt található gyóntatószék nagyon szép, mívesen faragott. A templom csak előzetes bejelentkezéssel látogatható In the center of Badacsonytomaj is a two-tower basalt church built in the Neo-Romanesque style, which is also a rarity in Europe. It was not open to the public, at least when we arrived it was closed. No information, no staff available. The outside of the church is beautiful and unique.

It is a simple church, but specially decorated at the altar. The washing chair is nicely worked. It was good to attend the Mass here during the holidays.

Szóval, nem csak az esztétika a lényeg, hanem a hozzáfűződő vonatkozások is. Meg azután vannak hívek, akik nyáron is szeretnének valami intézményben hinni. Szép hely. Most bementem én is egy kicsit elcsendesedni. Menjen mindenki, aki erre jár. Kívül fekete, belül fehér. I have no reason to give this place worse than five, part of the summer is Lake Balaton, Badacsonytomaj, and the black church in it. So, it’s not just the aesthetics that matter, but the appendages as well. And then there are believers who want to believe in some institution even in the summer. Nice place.
