Beware, invertebrates and absolutely incredible owners! The rooms we booked were rented out to others without warning, only a fraction of the booking was returned. We turn to consumer protection and do not recommend this place to anyone. Hungarian hospitality is ashamed of such money-hungry hyenas! :( UPDATE: Thanks for the quick reaction, I wish they had been so active in the previous days as well. József S. booked us 2 rooms on the eve of the 37th Balaton crossing, and the next evening they would have entered with his pregnant wife and little girl. My friend Tamás L. called you on Thursday afternoon, and you confirmed that we were waiting for us on Friday the 28th with 2 rooms (the calls are recorded - another pleasant miracle of technology). On Friday, it is only a coincidence that it turned out that you had given our rooms to someone else in the meantime without informing us. When we called you, they talked to us in an unbearable tone, and later they didn’t even pick up the phone. Next time, they might think more about how they communicate and behave with their (potential) guests. Instead of Google, I suggest completing a customer-centric communications training. And we will continue to consider turning to consumer protection. UPDATE2: To clarify: 2 rooms were prepaid for 2 nights, none of which were allowed to be used, despite the fact that the previous night it was confirmed by phone that four of us would be received. So it is outrageous that the agreement was kicked up and they didn't even talk about it! And it is simply incomprehensible and absolutely unacceptable that József S.'s holiday for 6 nights was also arbitrarily canceled (of which 2 nights had already been paid for) because they would have arrived a day later due to their little girl's illness. Finally, please don't look absolutely stupid, if you had 2 available rooms, you would also advertise it on booking. No free rooms have been advertised since Friday night. So we wish so much about this, a happy life and a more humane attitude!

Very clean, tasteful. Large spaces in the apartment. Separate kitchen with good facilities. The housemates are kind, they explain everything, they are helpful. It is in the center, close to the beach, the promenade, it was important to us. We are very pleased with him. I recommend to everyone.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. We booked 2 rooms and paid a HUF 50,000 deposit (the price of 2 nights), one of which unfortunately we had to cancel due to health problems. And the other one would have been booked a night later because our little girl had a fever (both nights had already been paid off). The first night would have been taken over by my acquaintances, who were preparing to swim across Lake Balaton the next day, and it would have been good for them to stay nearby. We discussed this with the owner over the phone and also confirmed it to my acquaintance over the phone. Because the owner was so kind and put my email in the reviews (see Nikolasz’s comment), everyone can read what happened. However, I would like to make up for the remaining "little things". The next day, when I wanted to confirm once again that we were going, they didn’t buy the phone, approx. I called 10x. I also confirmed in an email that we will arrive the next day. I didn't get an answer to that either. Since I saw on a booking page that a room had been booked at this accommodation both the night before and that morning, I had my doubts. I called them with a hidden number, they picked it up and then told us that since we didn’t book the accommodation the first night they wouldn’t give it to us. And of course not the 2x confirmed first night for my acquaintances either. (both nights paid off). Of course they claimed that the 2 rooms were left empty, yet they did not want to receive us. It's a bit suspicious, because we wanted to leave 60,000 HUF there. I called them once again to handle the case in a human way. We agreed to refund the price one night. There were not enough for 5 days. After Nikolasz evaluated the accommodation, they called me and asked me nicely and politely to delete the kib **** tt comment (which Nikolasz wrote based on his own experience) because otherwise the money would not be refunded. SUMMARY: 4 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LEFT WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SWIMMING ON BALATON, THEN THE FOLLOWING A FAMILY WAS SENT WITH A LITTLE CHILD AND A PREGNANT MOTHER WOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED ABROAD. Everyone can decide they want to stay in this place.

Hello, I would like to inform you of all those who visit Barbara Vendeghaz, my family and I had a reservation on 04.05-06 June (2 nights) in the meantime children or sick with chickenpox and we could not go to location, we called a few days before to let the owners know we were talking about our problem! for the new reservation where it was said that everything is busy and we were informed that only at the end of August it is possible! I couldn't choose this option, I asked to get my money back, unfortunately it can't be said! I tried to call again to reach an agreement but it seems you have no one to answer.
