1763-ban Tapolcán született Batsányi János magyar költő.
 On May 8, 1960, sculptor György Segesdy inaugurated a full-figured bronze statue on a limestone pedestal.
Hungarian poet János Batsányi was born in Tapolca in 1763.

The work of György Segesdi from 1960. The statue stands in the grassy area in front of the László Marton Memorial Museum. After the sculpture, if we go through the arched gate, we will see a group of 4 season sculptures.
