★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1996-ban Vörösberény kezdeményezésére - melynek ötletgazdája Veszeli Lajos festőművész - jött létre a Berény utónevű települések találkozója. 2017. szeptember 30-án ünnepélyes keretek között ugyanitt az összetartozás jegyében a Berényiek Emlékkútját avatták fel, mely az Árpád-kori, több mint ezeréves ősi településmag Szárberény halászfalunak állít emléket. Berény nevének jelentése a honfoglalás előtti korból, a „ber” (íjazni, nyilazni) szóból, egy másik értelmezés szerint a „csere” szóból származik. A tizennégy Berény nevű település közül a legtöbb a Dunántúlon, a Balaton közelében található
A nyolcszögletű kút oldalain helyet kapott valamennyi Berény utónevű település címerrel díszített márványtáblája. Magányszemélyek és civilszervezetek adományokkal segítették a Balatonalmádi Önkormányzat terveinek megvalósítását.

 In 1996, at the initiative of Vörösberény - the idea behind which was the painter Lajos Veszeli - a meeting of the Berény settlements was established. On September 30, 2017, the Berényiek Memorial Fountain was opened to celebrate the same affinity, which commemorates the Szárberény fishing village, which is an ancient settlement seed of more than a thousand years of age. Most of the fourteen Berény settlements are located in Transdanubia, near Lake Balaton
On the sides of the octagonal well, there was a marble table decorated with the coat of arms of all Berény-named settlements. Individuals and NGOs donated donations to implement the plans of the Balatonalmádi Municipality.
The boat-shaped relief is the work of Csanád Beretvás sculptor.
