A medert kikotorták, a parti és szigeti faösszetételt az őshonos fák irányába javították. Az alsó torkolatnál épített zsilippel. a vízállás szabályozhatóvá vált. a holtágat egész évben víz boríthatja.
 As a result of the habitat revitalization development completed by 2021 by the Danube-Drava National Park Directorate, the backwater was renewed. The riverbed was dredged, and the coastal and island tree composition was improved in the direction of native trees. With a built-in sluice at the lower mouth. the water level became adjustable. the backwater can be covered with water all year round.
