The exterior of the building has been very nicely renovated. Much of the interior design is also beautiful and sophisticated, but there is a room (temporary exhibition) that is still in a state of disrepair (although I don't know what it was like before, it is possible that it has improved a lot compared to the old one.) The main exhibition is grouped around a specific theme, about Bishop Márton Padányi Biró, who built it. The exhibition is very modern, full of interactive solutions, which I definitely liked. Moving paintings are very imaginative. On the other hand, I feel the spaces are a bit empty, a little more contemporary furniture would have come in handy as equipment, even if there were no originals left, a copy would be good. The restored stove is very beautiful, the library is really unique, the chapel is a real treasure, the wall paintings are special. The wardrobe is a good thing, modern, but some of it is not very practical - too narrow, the winter jacket can only fit in a fold, but other times it is imaginative because it saves space. On a cold winter’s day, the whole building is very cold, it’s worth dressing warmly or not taking off your coat. The cafe is very cozy, the restroom is a really unique solution, funny. Humor is common anyway, it permeates the whole building, exhibitions and solutions, I really liked that too. I recommend to everyone, approx. 1.5-2 hours busy.

As an adult, it is not worth it without a child. The exhibition was very small for me, I didn’t find much cultural value in it. I am dissapointed. As an adult without a child the experience was not worth it. The exhibition was a devoid of cultural value. I was disappointed.

The restored Episcopal Palace, which was ceremoniously handed over to the public again on October 31, 2021, was magnificent. In the halls of the Palace you can see two exhibitions with many high-quality, interesting interactive solutions, which bring the painting closer to the visitors, as the deservedly famous baroque painter Franz Anton Maulbertsch created it in Sümeg and in the Palace itself. In addition to the work of the painter's genius and disciples and helpers, the exhibitions mainly present the history of the Palace and its inhabitants, the heyday of the episcopal seat. There is also a café in the Palace, and it is not yet open to the public, but the only ornate room in the building, the most ornate, is the St. Martin's Chapel.

I was lucky enough to see it well into my childhood before the renovation. Even then, it was exciting to get around this place. After the renovation, we obviously managed to visit a more beautiful place. One of the biggest attractions of the city is on the side of the Castle. A popular place for photo makers. For those who go for this, it is definitely worth looking at both inside and out. It tells a lot about past ages.

Renewed, beautified! Both exterior and interior .The exhibitions can be visited .I recommend to everyone. Looking upwards from the inner courtyard of the bishop's palace, the Sümeg castle can also be seen. The architectural value of the interior design was the work of the old masters associated with astonishing beauty.

I really liked it, the exhibition is versatile, everyone will find something interesting. There are many interactive parts that are also of a high standard. I didn’t think I would find such a rich exhibition. Humor is also present, which makes you feel even better. For us, approx. It took 2 hours. We look forward to coming back here! ?

An interactive exhibition that also enchanted my seven-year-old son. They worked hard to make sure all ages could find what they liked. Moving, talking portraits, dialogues in interactive form, quizzes, hand-held games. There is no such thing as Don't touch it! Very informal, trendy, technically well equipped and modern. I think this is the future for the now growing generation who are not just curious about showcases. It wasn’t the first show of its kind, we’ve been to a museum lately, and I’m glad more and more are opening!
