★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Statue des 1997 seliggesprochenen Bischof Vilmos Apor. Viele Frauen und Kinder haben im Krieg in der bischöflichen Residez Zuflucht gefunden. Als im März 1945 sowjetische Soldaten die Frauen dort verschleppen wollten, stellte sich der Bischof und sein Neffe Sandor Pàlffy diesen in den Weg und wurden niedergeschossen. 3 Tage später erlag er seinen Verletzungen.
Statue of the beatified bishop Vilmos Apor in 1997. Many women and children have found refuge in the Episcopal Reside during the war. When in March 1945 Soviet soldiers wanted to deport the women there, the bishop and his nephew Sandor Pàlffy stood in the way and were shot down. 3 days later he succumbed to his injuries.
