Botanical Garden, Soroksár - Soroksár
A Fűvészkert megalakulásának 250-ik évfordulója és a Magyar Arborétumok és Botanikus Kertek 30-ik évfordulója alkalmából Budapesten rendezték a IX-ik EuroGard konferenciát, mely az európai botanikus kertek közösségének legrangosabb találkozója. A május 16-20 között zajló nemzetközi konferencián több mint 130-résztvevő volt, akik a botanikus kertekhez kötődő témákról tartottak előadásokat és mutattak be szakmai posztereket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice place to visit in spring when the flowers start to blossom. There are signs and information boards along the trails that give you the names of the trees and flowers. However, the names are only in Hungarian, not available in Latin, or in English and German. There are guided tours on request. Ideal for nature enthusiasts, and students, but not really manageable with a wheelchair. There aren't any shops or snack bars. The toilets are hard to find. There's a parking lot for the visitors.

Lovely piece of nature, with a great "caretaker" who is kind and knowledgeable on his profession, I strongly recommend the guided tour...
... but you can visit only for a walk and air out your head as well.
