★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nem messze a Bakonyi-Gyilkos-tóhoz található ez az érdekes hely. Ahogy még emlegetni szokták, Százhalom halomsírok. Mintegy 3500 évvel ezelőtt, az időszámításunk előtti 15. században telepedtek meg az általunk alig ismert, úgynevezett „halomsíros” kultúra népei a Bakony erdeiben. Társadalmuk tagolt volt: míg a katonai arisztokrácia hegytetőn épült földvárakban élt, addig a földművesek a közeli völgyekben, medencékben telepedtek meg. Nevüket temetkezési szokásaikról kapták, halottaik máglyán elégetett hamvait ugyanis urnákba helyezték, mellé ékszert, fegyvert, agyagedényeket tettek, fölé földből vagy kőből halmot építettek. A társadalom tagoltsága ellenére halála után mindenkit megilletett a sírja fölé emelt halom.
 This interesting place is not far from the Bakonyi-Gyilkos lake. As it is still mentioned, Százhalom mounds. About 3,500 years ago, in the 15th century BC, the peoples of the so-called “mound-grave” culture we barely knew settled in the forests of the Bakony. Their society was fragmented: while the military aristocracy lived in mounds built on a hilltop, farmers settled in the nearby valleys and basins. They got their name from their funeral customs, because they put the ashes of their dead burned in bonfires in urns, next to them they put jewelry, guns, clay pots, and built piles of earth or stone above them. Despite the fragmentation of society, after his death, everyone was entitled to the mound erected above his grave.
