★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The basilica itself is really dull both inside and out. The lights are turned off while there is no mass, and the little natural light is barely enough to see the details of the architecture.
They also failed to mention on their website in an eye catching manner that currently it's under renovation and huge sections are completely closed off. Also the opening times are incorrect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful historical basilica. The dome and ceilings are very beautifully painted. Well maintained. I've been to many well known cathedrals and I still think this is pretty impressive - maybe it's just because I still haven't figured out how these master painters paint the domes and ceilings with such perfection...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cathedral is a basilica with three naves. In the middle between the nave and chancel to the east is the transept. The dome of the cathedral, 40 meters above ground, is lavishly decorated. At the rear are the two bell towers. The portal on the eastern porch is designed like a Greek temple. The monumental entrance is decorated with statues of saints: St. Stephen, St. Ladislaus, and Saints Peter and Paul. The facade is supported by Corinthian columns that reach a height of 17 meters.
