The most authentic Indian food in Budapest. I eat often at Chatorey, and every single time, without fail, it succeeds in reminding me of my hometown. The staff is very cooperative and polite, the food is as Indian as it gets with good portions, and they've a very unique selection of food from all over India which makes every trip ever exciting. They also have weekly and weekend specials every now and then in which they bring those flavors and sweets from India that you cannot find anywhere else in Budapest. This other day, I went there with my vegan friends and the staff took an extra step with hospitality in creating a special list of vegan food items on their menu in order to help us with our order, which was a very polite and comforting gesture. Overall, repetitive good experiences have made Chatorey to be my default go-to place whenever I decide to eat out, and I would recommend everyone to try it out.?

I wouldn't call it a restaurant rather it is second home for me. I am always treated with love and amazingly delicious food. The food is so tempting that i want to visit there everyday ?. The prices are quite cheap and for the experience it is worth every penny. Even though you don't know what to to eat, you just ask The amazing Chef and he will customize the meal for you and his recommendation are the best. If someone is looking to try authentic flavour of Indian cuisine and Indian Hospitality, just head to this place like I always do.?

Nice Indian restaurant with varied menu. Drinks, starters, veg, nonveg, various cocktails, desserts and much more. Nice indoor sitting facilities, best customer service and economical prices. Definitely Recommend to visit to enjoy indian taste. ???

So good! Delicious food, they are so kind and friendly. They asked about spicy level and offered to decrease it or bring some yoghurt if it’s too spicy for us. ❤️

Frankly the yearning for Indian food intensifies only during prolonged stay away from India, and I should admit I was only away for a few months away when I tried this place. A very small basement type resturant with cute interiors. Seating is limited and slightly congested. When they open local restaurants in foreign country they also have to keep in mind the foreign population, so the taste is never 100% Indian. The starters were really tasty but lacked a zing to it. Main course was edible and flavourful as expected from a restaurant in Budapest. U for sure cannot compare it to the dhabas of Delhi and the khoa gullies of Mumbai and it wouldn't be fair also. The only dish that truly amazed me was the samosa, it brought back memories and a drop of tear of joy. It was fresh and delicious. One visit must kina place, to smile at other Indians, get a homely aura and experience the feel of back home. The Hindi songs on the TV add to the nostalgia....

The best Indian restaurant in town. Chef Kiz has his own touch in every dish that he prepares and he can customize the dishes based on your need. Himself and his partner runs the restaurant in an unique way and definitely worth the penny. Must try! Cheers. A very few pics before we could dig in :)
