A templomban őrzik Skóciai Szent Margit ereklyéjét, - Skócia védőszentje- aki Réka várában született és Óbányán a Pisztrángos-tó mellett egész alakos szobra áll. A small, hilltop church in a well-kept environment. In the church there is the Holy Archangel of Scotland, the patron saint of Scotland, born in the castle of Réka, and in Óbánya, beside the trout lake, there is a whole statue.

Négy oltára van,három barokk-kori,és egy a II.vatikáni zsinat (1962.október 11-1965.december 8) után elhelyezett szembemiséző oltár. A főoltár Szent György vértanú megdicsőülését ábrázolja. A SZENT GYÖRGY mecseknádasdi plébánia templom: 1719-ben a hívek még a felsőfaluban álló kisebb Szent István templomot használták plébániatemplomként. Az egyházközség egyik jelentős plébánosa, Nikolaus (Miklós) Pfeiffer idejében épült fel az új templom a falu birtokosának, Klimó György pécsi püspöknek a támogatásával, így a templom a titulusát a püspök védőszentjéről, Szent György vértanúról kapta. A templom alapkő letétele és felszentelése között 10 év telt el (1760-1770). Barokk stílusban épült egyhajós, homlokzati tornyos templom. A szentély félköríves záródású, és három boltszakasza van. A templomban összesen négy oltár van, három barokk-kori, valamint a II. vatikáni zsinat után elhelyezett ún. "szembemiséző oltár". A három igen kvalitásos barokk oltárkép alkotója a neves bécsi festő, a kapucinus Johann Baumgartner volt. Sajnos a képek igen rossz állapotban vannak, hisz megfestésük óta nem lettek restaurálva. Belátható időn belül nem is lesznek, mivel ennek költsége akkora, hogy egy ilyen kis közösség azt nem tudja finanszírozni. Sajnos a templom a liturgiai időpontokon kívül nem látogatható. The new church was built in the time of Nikolaus (Miklós) Pfeiffer, one of the parish's important parishioners, with the support of the village's owner, Bishop György Klimó of Pécs, so the church received its title from the patron saint of the bishop, St. George the Martyr. Between 10 years (1760-1770) passed between the laying and consecration of the foundation stone of the church. A single-nave church with a facade tower built in the Baroque style. The sanctuary has a semicircular closure and has three arch sections. The church has a total of four altars, three Baroque and II. placed after the Vatican Council. "face altar". The creator of the three high-quality Baroque altarpieces was the famous Viennese painter, Capuchin Johann Baumgartner. Unfortunately, the pictures are in very poor condition, as they have not been restored since they were painted.
