Corvinus Pizzéria, Étterem, és Vinotéka - és Vinotéka

I had a lovely experience dining alone on the patio. I got in early from Vienna, and after a few hours of exploring, around 11 am I was hungry for a late breakfast/early lunch and wanted to just sit and soak in the beauty of the square and reflect on everything I saw. This restaurant was the perfect choice for that. It was not crowded and I was one of the few people eating at the odd time. My German is ok, and I definitely can't speak any Hungarian. My server was adorable and so sweet. I liked her very much and she made me feel welcome. I felt very comfortable and at ease dining out alone here. I ordered in German (assuming this was a better option for her than English?) and could understand her well and we communicated with no problem during my meal. She was attentive and checked in a few times. I of course made a point to order the "keksfrankos" wine and I loved it. I had two glasses despite the early hour! It had sort of a tart cherry taste. The beef goulash was delicious with a clear broth and not as thick and rich as some of the food that's been tiring me out in the area. Very tasty. My ham baguette was a dream. I expected something plain but it was served open faced and toasted, with melted cheese,!fresh roasted peppers and tomatoes. And butter I'm sure. I love ketchup on that kind of stuff my waitress offered it to me to my surprise without me asking. I took half to go so I would not be too full. I only had euros on me, so I paid with a card (I honestly had no clue what the conversions were in the currency) and I laughed out loud to see the whole bill with two glasses of wine was about 8 American dollars. It's a mystery to me why anyone would think this place is anything other than super cheap. I live in New York and can't even order one glass of wine for that price, so I'm jaded I guess. The service and food were a delight and I will always remember how nice and friendly my server was, how simple and delicious my food and wine were, and what a pretty sight it is to take in the square.

If there was a possibily to put zero stars I would surely do so. I went to the restaurant with my friends today. We arrived, got seated and waited for the waiters to come. We were waiting for about 30 minutes and the waiters still werent coming nor cleaning mess on the table although they saw us sitting there. Then we just left and thank God we found much better restaurant in the city (Graben). 100% I don’t recommend the Corvinus restaurant. Very poor service.

Nice pizza and reasonable prices.

Had our wedding reception at Corvinus at Fe Ter, Sopron. Reserved the basement section for our function. Each and every guest loved the food and the service provided by the family run restaurant. Exceptional customer service provided by the owner, Mr. Joseph, his son, Balint and the entire staff. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Sopron. Well deserved five stars. Thank you Corvinus for the memorable time.

Amazing terrace to sit and enjoy the old town. fairly wide selection of wines from the region. decent salads and cold plates

Food was delicious, good prices, lovely atmospheric interior and swift service. Would recommend their goulash and their egg pasta was very satisfying. We really enjoyed it all.

As an outsider coming to Sopron for the first time, I have the impression that the only good thing this restaurant has going for it is its location. And from the outside the terrace looks really lovely, it has great views of the square in front of the water tower, can't deny that. But we had to enter inside and... it was kind disappointing in matters of interior design. It looked like as if nothing had been renovated from the 90's. I can say the same thing about the bathroom. Overall, the place doesn't look as good as the photos posted here. The food came fast though: beans in 5 minutes from ordering! This was indeed a record time, I have never been to a restaurant before that has managed that. Though I can't say the taste of the food blew me away either. But the bill sure did!

The stuff was nice, the food was good,the place had nice atmosphere, we didn't wait too long and I really liked the shape of the ceiling and the stars on it:) The toiled door didn't close, it was an uncomfortable minus??
