I chose DHL because they are not cheep so I expected a little bit more than regular post.
I sent passports from Montenegro to Thai embassy in Budapest and it arrived perfectly from Montenegrin side.
But when I expected passports to arrive back as it was agreed (embassy offers that option) DHL Hungary failed on several occasions.
1.They said that embassy is in a building and that they cannot guess on which floor etc (it's not in a building and even if it was you can ask the doormen on which floor;
It is in big house like huge majority of embassies).
2. They cannot pickup package after noon!! (!! Even regular post can do that !!)
Embassy works with outside people from 10am to noon.
In Montenegro DHL took our package outside of regular working hours.
3. Not to mention that they are almost impossible to get in touch with.
Fortunately with some complaints to the European supervisors of DHL we received our passports in time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very long waiting time! Lady at the counter was very rude. She asked what is in the box, explained 5 times cosmetics, the brand etc and she kept replying “what?”. Price is extremely, 78,000 HUF to send a small shoe box sized parcel to New Zealand! Wouldn't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ms Melinda was very helpful today. I got there at 5pm, just 15 minutes before express shipment deadline I was helping out a friend who wasn't able to move and rush a shipment. While she was servicing the lady in front of me, she asked the driver to wait an extra five minutes so my shipment can get to the USA ASAP.
I am grateful for the kindness DHL employees show when you are in a hurry and need to get your package where it needs to be.
Please always be kind to the people who are at the service desk so everyone can pay forward the kindness.
Thank you Ms Melinda for being kind to me and helping out my friend who was in need. I hope DHL appreciates the hard work as these acts of kindness are worth more than any TVC or advertising.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful service! The staff knows nothing about the company’s prices, company’s offices location. And the worst is that the staff doesn’t want to help at all. We had to wait for 15 minutes while a reception woman paid attention at us. Then she told us the wrong price for a letter sending. When we showed the correct price at DHL website, she had just turned away and said that she couldn’t help us. Ashame, DhL!

After spending time and money trying to get some direct information on specific parcel delivery, ended up receiving 2 completely contradictory info before being told parcel cannot be scheduled. Worked with DHL in several other countries, and this one in Hungary is by far the least professional and the reason I've decided to switch logistics company. Very limited options on services in Hungary. This is just not the DHL one would expect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent customer service. Able to come and drop off letter, unlike competition that charged more and had to wait hours for an unspecified pick up. Returned later and they kindly printed a boarding pass. Definitely recommend.
