Ferenc Harsányi and Adolf, together with their wives, bought the narrow, 365 rectangular corner plot of Népszínház utca, built at that time with large Art Nouveau apartment buildings, for 227,000 crowns with their wives. After earlier smaller assignments - the windshield of the New York café and the tombstone of their mother - they also entrusted the design of their five-story tenement to their brother-in-law, Bela Lajta. Not only the Harsányi, but also the members of the Leitersdorfer-Lajta and Káldor families, and Lajos Kozma moved into this house after it was built. All but one of the well-known pages of the Harsányi House belong to the first draft of January 1911. It shows a two-stroke installation on the street sides of the plot, along the southern border of the plot; the east side remained partially open to provide good illumination of the courtyard and staircase. On the ground floor of the Víg street wing, there was a cinema with a façade design, but there is no trace on the floor plan. The façade design is closely related to the first versions of the Erzsébetváros Bank and Lajta shop building, the May-June plan, the stone-curved arched balconies and the ornamented, rounded corner of the building directly in front of the Rákóczi Street building. The hallmark of the house's mass-building, the three risqué-lined balconies that surround the rounded corner of the building on two sides and rise above the horizontal, are already on display in these early plans. A floor plan with the date of July 1911 already shows the present layout of the building. Thanks to its much larger-than-previously-designed iron-glass front wall, which once featured colorful inserts made in Miksa Róth's workshop, the extremely bright staircase is now in its final location, inside the Víg street wing. Most of the living rooms face the street, while the restrooms and maids are facing the courtyard, with a larger, five-room apartment occupying the corner. The decoration of the completed building was reduced to the decorative panels of the main facade lock balconies, based on Sárköz and Slovak embroidery motifs, and to the embossed-metal embossed metal cover of the ground-floor zone. The vibrant mass composition of the Népszínház street wing is thus clearly evident, and its effect is enhanced by the contrast of the horizontal motifs of the balconies framed by the corners, which cut into the rounded corner of the building.
