★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For anyone searching for an English-speaking OB-GYN, this doctor does not speak English, despite it being listed as one of his languages on his Szent Krisztóf biography, at his private practice on Tas vezér utca, and the information the receptionist who booked my appointment gave, when she confirmed the doctor spoke English. Unfortunate that the information listed online was wrong, but more upsetting was his rude way of informing me so: "You are in Hungary. You speak Hungarian here."
I have already given birth once in public hospital in Hungary, and the doctors were all very kind and happy to speak English with me. So it is simply not the case that one must only speak Hungarian, nor is it reasonable to demand as much of a patient. I would rather not spend the rest of my pregnancy getting talked down to by a rude xenophobe, so I do not recommend. Also, the information listed online re: languages spoken should be changed so others aren't misled, as this was a waste of my time.
