The building if nice and I did like the train since this is the last piece of a Hungarian train type and you can feel the metal when you standing next to it. However the theater part is not that good. Unfortunately the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. You have 0 room for your legs since the rows are significantly higher then the previous one so there is a little wood stoping your feet before it would hit the front row. Everything else was nice but it made the experience very bad. I just jump back to the train vagon for a second, I really hope it will have some inside renovation as well. It would be so much better then the painted white wall.

I	István Nagy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent venue. Everything new and shiny but they still managed to keep the factory hall atmosphere. Needless to say the train is super cool and the shows are of high quality. The auditorium is well designed: comfy chairs, noone will block your view as there are sharp level differences. And huge plus for EN+HUN subtitles.

P	Péter Szűcs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An old industrial building, clearly oversized for just hosting the opera. They have a steam engine in one of the corners, for example. The overall experience is rich, spacious. Liked it. I watched a ballett, was a great performance.
G	George Szirb on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple, modern though historical building complex, second home of the Opera House. Not in the center of the city, but easy to reach. Besides opera and ballet performances, mainly contemporary ones, there's are many interesting programs. Guided tours are really impressive: a "walk through" the history of Hungarian opera and ballet plays, exhibitions, workshops where the costumes and sets are made. Worth the visit!
M	Michael Foody on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to see a contemporary take on a traditional opera, translated into English using a board at the top, easy to follow. The modern seats, stage, lighting and clever use of props and costumes made for a fabulous easy comfortable evening. Plus the railway carriage bar in the hall was fun. Compared to home country the price was sensible and affordable. Would definitely go again.
