I got the impression that the embassy in Budapest does not want to deal with the official proceedings of its citizens, for which it is 'so-called' only responsible. Transactions take place in the back office. I have no idea what is going on in the embassy main building. It may take longer than you think to handle your transaction, so it is essential to be prepared.
