A kerülővel vezetett vonal azonban sohasem lett a lakótelep fő tengelye, azt ma is a hagyománytiszteletből 7-esnek nevezett buszcsalád tölti be, amely egyenesen és közvetlenül a belvárosig viszi az utasokat. Ettől még persze a villamosok sem üresek, a 69-es fontos járat, csak nem a legfontosabb.
