Szabadszállás város önkormányzata a 2004. május 1-jei csatlakozás emlékére a város központjában parkot létesített, mely megörökíti különlegesen fontos eseményt. 2012. június 19-én Szabadszállás Város Képviselőtestülete, az Európai Uniós parkot átnevezte Manfred Hofstätter Európa Uniós parkká.
 Nice little 'park' with two comfortable benches. The Municipality of Szabadszállás, in the memory of the accession of May 1, 2004, established a park in the city center, which captures a particularly important event. On June 19, 2012, the City of Szabadszállás, the European Union Park, was renamed Manfred Hofstätter Europe Union Park.
