Good location, nice staff, excellent trout for dinner. The water supply is weak, so it may turn out that there's no more water in the evening. (There's no piped water in Bankut, that 's the reason).

Wonderful location, wide variety of authentic food and beverages, accodomation with breakfast or half pension. There are nice hiking trails around the pension, protected parking, a lot of snow and ski facilities. The prices are moderate and sometimes you have to wait a bit but it's totally worth it.

Been here on October 17th, place is nice food is perfect The reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the way staff is handling customers, Rude.

Excellent location, it is on the top of the Bükk mountains. Usually it is a lively place, we were there right before Christmas. The restaurant and the hall where full during he afternoon, for the evening it got empty and it turned out we would be the one who sleep there :-) we got the great opportunity to talk to the staff about some local things then. The staff was very friendly, the meal was perfect. Why not five star? There was a bit cold in the room when we arrived and I think the price level is a bit high.

We spent a week of our summer vacation here. We couldn't choose better. Helpful (albeit not English speaking) staff, extraordinary meals, rich breakfasts, elegant and clean rooms. All this in the middle of dense forests, far from civilization.

I came across here on my long distance hiking tour through Hungary. Having already walked more than 20 km on this day, I was looking forward to a late lunch, even more so as a storm was about to break. The food was good, the table I had on the wooden balcony was nice. However, the waiter made little effort to conceal the fact that he did not like me. Obviously he was annoyed by my presence. Maybe it was because I - a sole traveller - occupied a whole table. But there were no smaller ones. Maybe it was because I had dirty shoes and a huge backpack. At first he found it obvious that I would only want something to drink and tried to move me to the bar. After all, this was the "restaurant". But I also wanted food, which seemed to disappoint him. During the meal he made it clear to me several times that I was apparently out of place in this "restaurant." - especially when I slipped out of my shoes for a moment. Well - if you serve food in the middle of natural park and hiker's paradise you have to face the fact that some people will show up in hiking boots.

This time the Panzio was not better than average, I missed the cosy atmosphere in the forest. The overall sound of "Radio Swiss Pop" in every room was disastrous. Sounded like a Radio-club, music everywhere: restaurant, lounge, balcony. It was a rainy day, ideal for reading or relaxing in the lounge - but it was impossible. No rest and calm place but pop-music. As I was the only guest in the halls, I know that no other guest wished the loud radio. If the Feher-Sas is located in the beautiful forest in Hungary, why is it like a music-club? Is silence in the forest Pension an enemy? There should be reconsiderations of the level of noise and to re-think period of hours where no music helps to relax. Otherwise the personal taking very care of the Panzio, cleaning, maintainances. Level of comfort is good. Food was good again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice and cozy, and the meals are hearty and really delicious. The community room has a large fireplace to make the room even more cozier when the weather is bad outside. We loved it very much.
