We've been here twice with my love! It's a wonderful building, it's a wonderful place! by now they are starting to decline pretty slowly and are finally being destroyed! It's a shame they don't see the possibilities in it ... and there's fantasy in it!

At the beginning of the eighteenth century, just a few hundred meters from the ancient ruins, the Viennese court established a Spanish riding school, which was purchased in 1739 by the Festetics, who soon established a European-famous stud in Fenékpuszta. Thanks to the continuous constructions, the area developed more and more: stables, majors, maids' flats were built, and in 1820 the small castle, which still stands today, was completed. Around 1880, the Fenyves allele was built, the approximately seven-kilometer road that connected the courtyard of the Helikon castle in Keszthely with the Fenyvpuszta estate. The small castle was home to the owners and managers of Europe’s famous racing stables, all of whom were guests of the Festetics family. Horse breeding lasted until 1938 on the former estate. In 1820, the small castle, which still stands today, was completed. Around 1880, the Fenyves allele was built, the approximately seven-kilometer road that connected the courtyard of the Helikon castle in Keszthely with the Fenyvpuszta estate. The Count's estate flourished until the beginning of the Second World War, but then it reached the usual twentieth-century destiny of Hungarian castles and estates in Hungary. The castle, which is currently in a deplorable condition, will in principle be renovated this year, and they want to build a center based on equestrian tourism, together with a racetrack and a hotel, where races would also be organized. There was no sign of this when we came here. The once highly esteemed castle is now heavily destroyed, its current inhabitants do not even appreciate it, it is sad to see it now dying. It can be walked around from the outside, no one should try to go in because of the people living there.

I threw myself into this during the Balaton bypass bike tour. The castle is in a dilapidated state, the roof is torn, the windows are broken. Nearby archaeologists are working on the scorching sun. I mingled with them, a lot of interesting things can be learned from them about what happened here in Roman times.

When I last saw it, it was very deserted and wonder it hadn’t collapsed yet. I hope it will be completely renovated and preserved.

On the ground floor of the small castle there will be an exhibition presenting the Festetics stud and horse breeding, and on the first floor there will be a museum pedagogical employer. THE one part of the renovated mare stable will serve the traditional horse keeping, the other will create a multifunctional community space for events and temporary exhibitions. In the southern courtyard of the complex, a picnic and aristocratic leisure park with a “photographer’s studio” will be set up, reminiscent of the Festetics era. The café in the major area will offer a variety of picnic baskets, and local produce can be enjoyed at the park. The main attraction of the venue will be the scheduled mail car service, which starts from the park of Festetics Castle and arrives at the stud farm in Fenyves.

It seems that the renovation of the major has started, for the time being the initial condition .... I am really looking forward to the final condition, it will definitely be very nice.
