★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a book that arrived here. Entering the store was a challenge as i went with my baby (with a pram) but it wasn't designed for it. I should have taken the book on the 1st floor (needless to say there wasn't an elevator) the shopkeeper was kind enough to bring it to me but for a person with a wheelchair would be impossible even to enter the shop....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Hungarian bookstore. Some books in English, some CDs. This is definitely a bookstore that will make any non Hungarian speaker wish they were fluent in the Hungarian language.

They have 3 stories: the first one is the regular book store and then there is the one above where you can find all kinds of foreign language books, a much greater choice than most book stores and there is an outlet on the basement floor where you can buy aesthetically damaged books for a lot cheaper

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was a University student in Budapest (a quoter of century ago), this was my favorite book store in the town. Visiting them again has unfortunately been a bad experience.
I come to the shop early afternoon, there were many personnel there, but very few customers, maybe two more in addition to me. The personnel was obviously busy to discuss important things as none bothered to say me hello or offering any help. There were several occasions when they have checked me out, as I was trying to find a particular kind of book as a gift, but it was decided that I am not worthy of their help, and they very pointedly continued their discussions.
Since that was the third book store I have visited that afternoon, and I have got the same treatment in all of them, I decided that the problem must be with me, and I can buy books more easily on Amazon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. I can spend infinite amount of time here. I like the vibe much more than in the other big book sellers next to this store and also the staff is very helpful here. I took this photo to share it with my fellow Eragon lover friend because i was surprised they reprinted it and this place sells it. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loads of books on 2 storeys! I went there for English books (go up to the first floor). Although the selection is not bad at all, the prices went up since I was there last time. Some books had its 3rd price tag (keeps growing). If you want to buy English books, go to Libra (Kölcsey utca, district 8) where the selection and prices are MUCH better. Can't provide any comment for the Hungarian book section but it looked impressive with so many titles. Definitely better (prices) than Libri chain-bookstores!
