It is a very good castle-hotel. Nice rooms, good food, good swimming pool. Gorgeous environment. Friendly and helpful staff.

The restaurant is fancy and well maintained. It is located in a peaceful green ambiance. There is a wide selection of food available here. The staff is friendly and helpful.

This hotel is stuck in the 80's: decoration, food, music in the restaurant, amenities in the rooms, ... It's all a bit dated. But the wellness area and the nice, polite service makes up for it!

Rooms are very nice and comfy and quiet. Jacuzzi in room was a nice surprise. Staff are friendly. Food is cheap and very good. Lots of facilities for kids that keep them out of the way of the adults !

Called Fried Hotel 3 days before arriving for a wedding to confirm the price of our room to avoid any surprises. Expected to pay the wedding discounted rate 19,800 Ft. for the night for 2 adults and 2 kids. Upon check-in I got a bill that was double. I refused to pay and said I would not stay. Receptionist spoke to the asian female owner and they offered a room with one double bed. Since there were no extra beds for the kids I didn't want to accept, but the kids said they would sleep on the floor, at which point I confirmed with the receptionist that they would provide blankets and pillows. I paid the bill and attended the wedding. At around midnight no blankets or pillows had arrived so I called housekeeping and made the request. The Hungarian housekeeping staff was professional and quickly supplied and assembled the sheets. Next morning at checkout I couldn't just drop off the key which made me suspicious. The same receptionist the day before presented another bill for the sheets at check out. Trying to avoid surprises I got upset and said I would not pay and they shouldn't be nickle and diming me when it was agreed they would provide the sheets. The receptionist called the Chinese female owner to persuade me to pay by giving two different excuses (kids sleep on floor, 2 kids sleep in 1 double bed with 2 adults) of why I should pay. At that point I really got mad and complained about how the room had no air conditioning, no shampoo or soap, the bathroom door couldn't be closed as it was falling off the hinges and the balcony door was difficult to close too and that the hotel wasn't a 4 star hotel. Some other words were exchanged and I walked out without paying for the sheets. The Hungarian wait staff and housekeeping staff is professional but the owner is rude, unprofessional and lacks customer service skills.

Careful personal, nice rooms, wonderful views. Free access to the indoor pool, ping-pong, billiard and football game makes an 5* level of staying here. Balaton Lake is placed at 40 km away -1 hour by car- offers you the sunny beach experience on top of all.
