If you are an architect or artist you HAVE to stop by at FUGA. This is like a Architect's Association place where these professional gather to promote expositions, events, concerts and more. There is always something happening almost everyday with lectures, and normally 3 or 4 different expositions happening on the main floor and the underground floor, for free. Also, there is a nice bookshop with hungarian architecture in english and hungarian. The staff is really friendly and they can help you with anything about architecture.

This is an obligatory place for architects to visit! There are always temporary exhibitions going on, and it has a great library with several architecture and art books, with English and Hungarian options.

Best bookstore for architecture lovers! Great international publications, magazines, also some notebooks. The cellar is huge and there are sometimes really interesting exhibitions, check what's on!

Piano and viola were so close to each other that we could not hear them separately. Also chamber echoes unpleasantly. Ticket was cheap but was not worth it. The Turkish pianist was not up to the piece he played solo it was painful to watch him struggle.

Saw a god awful play here about a naughty Hitler. The theatre is beautiful though and they have a good space to do work and look over their extensive collection of architecture books. Quiet.

Nice place to hang out on a rainy day. You will find cool books on the city, even in English. Of the three exhibitions at a time at least one is surely excellent. They frequently have concerts and architecture/design based programs. I warmly recommend it. My secret hope is that they change the Nescafé machine to real espresso one day...

This is Budapest's Center of Contemporary Architecture. It's a hub for contemporary cultural events and exhibitions. It has a bookstore with books mainly about architecture, engineering and art.
