Better quality and choice than Penny. For example, beer by local brewer Monyo, and Belgian Duvel. But the store is quite congested and could be better adapted for foreigners. All labels were in Hungarian. Strangely, peppers varied greatly in size - some were half the size of others - and were charged the same per item, though most foreigners wouldn't know that. I was manually charged 900 forint for a broccoli that was, actually, 500g at 900 per kilo. Eventually, staff asked the manager who refunded me half. That said, i was given useful tips and recommendations in relation to local beer and wine. A convenient local shop but i prefer German stores (Spar, Aldi, Lidl and DM) which seem better managed and have more bio foods.

I love this supermarket! Its near me and I prefer it to Spar or Penny (the other options I have in the vecinity :-)) ) it's not very big but not small and surprisingly well stocked, they have my favourite dairy products (from Cserpes) and fresh salmon, fresh baked goods, some cooked foods too (like cold salads, breaded vegetables, sausages and others) a pretty nice selection of fresh packaged cheeses like gouda and goat cheese, olives, dips, sun dried tomatoes and more. Also fresh fruit and vegetables and pretty much anything you might need grocery wise, from lower to higher prices so a wide varity of choice. There are 4 cashiers working, so even when its crowded it moves really fast. Yep, short of a bigger Lidl or Aldi, this is my go-to place :)

What a terrible supermarket! Everything we got was either semi-rotten, old, or just really bad tasting. We got pickles— awful, bread was like plastic, raw ground beef — somewhat smelly, decided not to use even though label said it would expire in 3 days, raw cucumber— rotten, raw tomatoes — almost totally rotten, not eatable, cheese — the worst I had in my life. Apricots — sour and yucky. Bottled water was OK. What’s the deal?

Browsing leisurely to be told by a rude security guard that they were closed. There was no warning we needed to be out immediately and got ushered towards the till. One step away from being man handled from the store. It was 18:00 on a Saturday. That’s so early to close for a weekend in a capital city. Never going here again

My favourite market in the neighborhood. Friendly athmospere, kind and helpful stuff, quality products. Not the cheapest but at least you can find everything in one place and with good quality. Fresh groceries, meats, household stuffs, drinks, bakeries and so on. In weekdays it opens early and open till 9 PM.
