plain hamburgers with some dressing of theirs (it's in every burger) that made us sick. you could make them more authentic by using less artificial stuff and more imagination

I ordered food 3 hours ago and they kept told me 10minutes and 10minutes on phone and then they said kitchen is close? And laughing on the phone? I felt really humiliating. I meant i understand if they told me they are busy and cannot deliver. But none of notice and humiliating with laughing on the phone is not funny at all. Its ridiculous. Its very rude.

The food was excellent! However the music volume level was absolutely atrocious!!! We had to shout to each other to be able to hear ourselves. After 25 min or so we paid our bill and left. It’s very well designed restaurant but the muscle pumped waiters didn’t fit in with the decor whatsoever. Many restaurants serve good food but only few manage to f… it up so badly by playing music so loud. We felt like we were in discotheque…

Nagyon szép étterem. The food is delicious, staff is very friendly and polite, and the impression over all is: we highly recommend this ultra special place. Nagyszerű.

Amazing atmosphere, great meal deal on lunches, friendly staff. The pricing is alright, a bit above the average, but the food is delicious.

Too long waiting time, slow service. Place is cozy, easy to park. Food….I don’t know yet, still waiting.

I’m kind of in between 2-3 stars. Came here for lunch. The decor was a bit rustic minimal, which was nice, but from the first moment I walked in I felt un-welcomed by the waiter who served me for most of my meal. What put me off the most was when I asked my server if he had any recommendations since I couldn’t discern what a lot of the food items were. His response was a cold faced, stern, “NO.” I waited a while to order (and it wasn’t that busy), but once I did the food and drinks came out pretty quickly. As for the food, it was not that great at all. At this point I realized how poorly translated the English menu was. I actually thought I was ordering pulled duck, but as you can see in the picture I attached, it’s clearly chicken and not pulled. The eggplant paste appetizer was also mixed with ranch dressing or something that made it too rich. Final word, I’m not saying for people to avoid going here. I’ve been exploring Szeged for the past month as I’ve been taking courses here and I have found it’s cuisine and dining options are very limited. If you’re Hungarian, probably will be a much more welcoming experience for you. As an expat, it’s absolutely not worth the trek to the outer part of the city for an unwelcoming experience with sub par food.

It was my second time dining here and of course I ordered the same meal because it was delicious the first time! Second time did not disappoint?
