Érdekesség:
- Úgy kezdődik az Egri Csillagok, hogy 1533-ban Bornemissza Gergely (Gergő, "Derdő") és Cecey Éva (Vicuska) fürdik a Vár-völgyi patakban (régies nevén: Vár-vőgyi-csőrge, Máré-csőrge), amikor a félszemű Jumurdzsák elrabolja őket, szerencsére sikerül megszökniük.
(Cecey Péter - Vicuska apjának mindkét lába fából van és jobb keze is hiányzik. Dózsa György idején is harcolt, akkor vesztette el a végtagjait.)
- 1979-ben a forrás utáni erdei úton erdei pihenő volt (tűzrakó, padok), ami manapság épp csak látszik elhaló romjaiban.
- 1984-ben a forrás előtt egy fa híd ívelt át a patak felett, ma már ez sincs meg.
In the tributary on the southern side of the Castle Valley in Magyaregregy, in the upper part of it, there is a busy water exit, along the hiking trail marked with a red lane.
Curiosity:
- The Stars of Eger begin with Gergely Bornemissza (Gergő, "Derdő") and Éva Cecey (Vicuska) bathing in the Vár-völgyi stream (formerly known as: Vár-vőgyi-csőrge, Máré-csőrge) in 1533, when the one-eyed Jumurja kidnaps them, luckily they manage to escape.
(Péter Cecey - Vicuska's father has both legs made of wood and his right hand is missing. He also fought during the time of György Dózsa, then he lost his limbs.)
- In 1979, there was a forest resting place (fire pit, benches) on the forest road after the source, which today can only be seen in its dying ruins.
- In 1984, a wooden bridge curved over the stream in front of the spring, today it is not.
