★ ★ ★ ★ ★ GUARY-KASTÉLY A hagyomány szerint a községet a fazekasok germán védőszentjéről Szent Goárról nevezték el. A faluban ugyanis a középkorban jelentős volt a fazekasipar. A 14. századtól a helyi nemes Guáry család birtoka volt. A család lényegében a 20. század közepéig birtokolta a települést. 1899-ig hivatalos neve Guar volt.
A Guáry család emeletes kastélya 17. századi eredetű, barokk, átalakítva eklektikus-romantikus stílusban a 19. sz. második felében. Művelődési ház, irodák működtek benne. Forrás: Kastelyok-Utazas.hu

 GUARY CASTLE According to tradition, the village was named after St. Goar, the patron saint of potters. The pottery industry was significant in the village in the Middle Ages. From the 14th century it was owned by the local noble Guáry family. The family essentially owned the settlement until the middle of the 20th century. Until 1899, its official name was Guar.
