A templom teljes berendezése elkészült, a harangok is megvoltak, amikor 1887-ben a torony kigyulladt. A templom teteje és belseje is kiégett, újra kellett építeni. 1888-ra elkészült, amikor a templomot újraavatták.
 The construction of the church was completed in 1862 and was inaugurated by the Germans from Mezőberény, Szemlak and Vadkert. The entire furnishings of the church were completed, and the bells were also present when the tower caught fire in 1887. The roof and interior of the church also burned down and had to be rebuilt. It was completed by 1888, when the church was reopened.
