A great place, a real kid's empire. Spacious rooms, good seating area with playground. We really liked it. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and is almost in the heart of the city.

Super place with kids, also a place for younger children to enjoy. The nature of the apartment is also just acceptable, so you don’t have to worry about younger children hurting anything. Kind, accessible, flexible and helpful staff. Recommended for families with small children. Fairytale figures, nooks and outdoor playground and garden furniture are an experience for young and old alike.

The house is full of plush animals to play with freely. And in the yard there is a slide, a swing for all ages. The kitchen is very poorly equipped: there is a new induction hob however a sharp knife is no more. There was cat feces in the sandbox in the yard, which is why we spoke for it. The problem could not be fixed in 4 days. The cleaning staff is very kind and helpful.

In the summer we visited the Fairytale House Apartment, which we booked for our family half a year before. The apartment was meanwhile rented out to someone else at the same time and we received an offer, if we stay another day longer, the apartment will remain ours. Unfortunately, we couldn’t solve for 10 people for the plus one day because we’re also working people. So our family was separated and housed in a separate apartment while this was the most important stipulation. That’s why we chose them because they had 10 places inside an apartment. It was very uncomfortable in his pajamas to walk down the street with the kids to the other apartment. Not to mention shared meals and cafes. Another smaller family who also asked for a separate apartment had to share it with our family and did not ask for it. They were more looking for other accommodation, we couldn’t do that. I can only congratulate you on this amateur organization. One can make mistakes, we are not perfect, but there could have been a much better solution to this problem. I think he already has a routine in organizing and renting an apartment.

Value for money is super. Andrea was a perfect host, we could contact her with any requests or questions. Everything was clean and tidy. We were with 3 children (1, 6 and 13 years old), we got an apartment equipped to meet all needs, the yard is also especially child-friendly.

The apartment is very imaginative, cozy, spacious! It’s really enjoyable for kids both outdoors and indoors. They are kind and cute too. For me personally, there was only one thing that spoiled the experience, but unfortunately it was that there was no air conditioning! We were there on one of the hottest days and we weren’t sleeping there the last night because the water was torn from us and the kid was incredibly fussy about sleeping and slept really badly because of the heat. The sun was shining all day, so it was almost hot in the evening (inside). I think this shortcoming should be filled very quickly, because everything would be 5 * anyway!

There are countless apartments for rent in Gyula, and the Fairytale House distinguishes itself specifically for families with children. I think it is good value for money, it suited us, we had a good time. What I really liked: Good location (downtown is at your fingertips, the area around the Castle and Castle Bath is a little longer walk away, yet very quiet, bird-watching area), spacious, cozy apartment (designed from an old civic home with a creative own nook for children), well-equipped playground in the courtyard, many with toys (sandbox, small motors, balls, etc. - no need to carry something like this from home for the holiday), waterproof mattress protectors on the beds (no need to worry about children’s accidents). What was missing: A regular-sized trash can (there is only one trash can in the apartment, it is also a small one - we try to produce little rubbish, but as a family with children, we filled it in one day) and bigger ones instead of small towels (we use towels of this size at home). They would be good in the bathroom: toilet paper holder (it was weird that the roll is on the counter next to the sink, not even accessible from the toilet), hangers, maybe a towel radiator (we didn't really know where to put the wet towels after bathing). More info: The cleanliness was basically okay (there was a cobweb here and there, black discoloration on the fugue, etc., but that kind of thing happens in a normal home too, with a lot of attention). We did not meet the maid during our three-day stay, only on the day of our departure, although according to the information material left at the accommodation, she used to be there in the morning if anything was needed. We visited the city for most of the day, we didn’t make much food, so there was no particular problem with this, but since I didn’t have my own cleaning supplies in the apartment, at least I didn’t find it, so it would have been nice if either he got up a little at times we can ask him for a broom, vacuum cleaner, etc. The kitchen was not really used, as I saw, the equipment is suitable for preparing simple meals. The thick, ancient walls don’t let in the heat, which can be an advantage in the summer, we got a little cold in the apartment during our spring stay there. There was a good hard mattress on our double bed, I like it, I found it comfortable, but it squeaked terribly, whimpered with every move.

Bad experience: What I am forced to draw a star for is that there was no mattress for the crib, it was replaced with plain blankets !! Needless to say, the 7-month-old woke up every hour so our nights were sleepless (normally sleeping 4-6 hours a night) :( On the one hand I don't understand anyone thinking a stuffed blanket is equivalent to a mattress, on the other hand they could have spoken ahead before we went there, to bring a mattress because they just don’t have it. I understand that the owner was satisfied with the constantly peeing mattress, but I don't think that's the solution either ... It doesn't hurt for parents with babies to know that there is NO mattress for the crib, it doesn't hurt to take it with them! As a towel, there were towels the size of hand towels, so it didn't hurt to bring your own towel. Positive experience: The manager of the apartment tried to help with everything, he was very flexible in all areas, for example: when we wanted a buffet for another day, he immediately arranged for us, and at other times he gave us a vacuum cleaner for a nasal vacuum cleaner. He always picked up his cell phone right away and was immediately available to us. The apartment itself was comfortable, it had air conditioning and all kinds of cutlery were at our disposal in the kitchen, and the yard was full of toys and there was also a smaller playground for older children, they even had a baby swing. There were 3 types of high chairs, clothes dryers, so there was everything you needed and the atmosphere of the house was fabulous. It is close to major tourist attractions such as the Castle and Bath. So I was completely satisfied with the care and the lady leading the apartment, so it is especially worth the 4 stars :) I only deduct a star because of the sleepless nights due to a lack of mattress. :(
