★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a low budget version of the typical Hungarian cuisine, this would be the place to go, plus you will also quickly realize why Hungary is the 4th most obese OECD country.
However, if you are looking for something fresh and healthy or if you have even a slightly good taste for food, avoid this place by all means.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I nearly cried while eating the food here, it was so much like my mother's cooking that I had been looking all over for! they have a bunch of traditional staples at rock bottom prices and the people behind the counter are extremely kind and even put up with my intense requests for a huge plate of nokedli covered in soup broth. A++ would eat and cry about it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our go-to local Hungarian restaurant. Been 3x now, and will go one or two more times before we leave. The menu changes daily (but is the same from week-to-week). Staff is helpful and doesn't get annoyed by my terrible Hungarian ("gy" is so hard to pronounce)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lady explained the best she could the food in English. We pointed and asked simple questions and end up with a tasty soup and a plate of meat and rice plus a beer for less than 5 euro. Nice calm atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You may choose among the foods from an open counter, frankly none of them looked toothsome but I was really hungry. I thought there is no chance to spoil fried mushrooms... God, these mushrooms were fresh! - once upon a time, approx. 3 weeks ago. One of them simply disappeared during the frying process.
AND it was extremely expensive for this how-could-I-describe-it quality.
The place tries to look vintage or smells-like-the-eighties, but it's simply shabby.
