★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute must if you are visiting Pecs. Pecs has a long-standing glove making tradition, pioneered by the Hamerli family in the 19th century. This tradition lives on today in this beautiful store. All gloves are made in Pecs at the glove manufactory in the Zsolnay cultural district. I visited the factory/museum, which is open to the public, and saw first hand the quality of materials (Italian leathers, peccary) and craftsmanship that goes into making a pair of gloves. The store in the centre of Pecs is very well stocked, however if you are not able to find something in the size/colour that you wish it is also possible to order a pair from the factory and have them shipped over to you. This was my case and I am very satisfied with the results (see the beautiful hand sewing in photos).
