The manufacture visit is more interesting with the insight of the production process. Too bad that the final coffee or tea is forgettable in the mediocre interior and badly serviced café.

They show you step by step how Herend porcelain is made, explaining the finest details. The Porcelain Museum is also a must see where you can view the treasure trove of Herend’s finest throughout history. If you’re in the area don’t miss it!!

Its certainly worth a day trip from Budapest. The factory store may not offer any discounts, but they have an unrivalled selection, which is itself amazing to see. I wish that I had more time, as I was not able to spend much time in the museum, but what I did see, was very interesting.
